We enjoyed a Labriego from Mendoza winery in Argentina. It went quite well with an assortment of sushi and sashimi.
Description on the back indicates "Golden color with green tones. Floral and fruity nose with tropical flavors in the palate. Clean and zesty finish." I have to say that I agree. It is made from the Torrontes grape which is the characteristic white wine grape of Argentina.
For people who typically enjoy red wine, it is kind of funny that the first post of our wine blog is a white wine. Oh, well.

Where did you buy it and how much was it?
ReplyDeleteI bought it at www.wineinsiders.com, but they don't seem to have it anymore. Upon further investigation, it seems that the winery is LaBriego, and the varietal is Torrontes. I'm pretty sure it was about $15.
